Books in the Hood Program

Books in the ‘Hood is a youth reading and literacy club for children grades 1-5. Our vision is to help kids become better readers by making reading enjoyable in a fun small group atmosphere with committed and caring volunteers. Our team of volunteers receive training in order to provide effective literacy mentoring with a personal touch. In addition, we believe it is essential to inspire both our children and volunteers to take healthy S.T.E.P.S. in the right direction.
