Goal: To raise funds for the American Cancer Society in honor of Bob Cherrington
Hello! Thanks for visiting the Spartan Mud Run for Bob Cherrington fundraiser page.
My name is Graham Kuzia and I am voluntarily subjecting myself to a 4-mile, mud & obstacle filled race called "The Spartan" located at the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC on Saturday, March 24rd 2013. My goal is to raise at least $1,000 in honor of Bob Cherrington to donate to the American Cancer Society. As you know, Bob was diagnosed with lung cancer this year. His bravery, courage and will to fight has inspired me to do the same (he also allowed me to marry his daughter...so I owe him). While my short 4 mile battle is pale in comparison to his, here are a few of the possible things I'll be encountering:
Fire jumps, barbed wire crawls, spear throw, wall climb, object carry, Herculean Hoist (hoisting cement blocks in the air), tire jumps, Gladiator run (American Gladiator anyone?) and many other torturous/cruel events.
Please remember how fortunate we all are and give to a great cause to find a cure.
***Update: As the first goal of $1,000 was met very quickly, I have raised the goal to $2,500. My hope is that in the next few months, we can get the word out enough for Bob and raise more money to find a cure!
