A Blizzard Box contains two shelf-stable meals and provides Meals on Wheels clients with food to use when bad weather prevents delivery.
On October 25th and 26th, Metro Meals on Wheels in partnership with SUPERVALU will bring together more than 150 volunteers from the community, local companies, and Meals on Wheels programs for the fifth annual “Blizzard Box Blitz” event.
In just 2 days these volunteers will create up to 9,000 shelf-stable meals for nearly 4,500 area Meals on Wheels recipients. We need your help to ensure that Meals on Wheels recipients get their Blizzard Boxes and do not miss a meal this winter even when the weather keeps the volunteers off the roads.
All donations are received and receipted by Razoo Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) charity that operates a donor advised fund to fulfill donor advisements.
