We Went, We Saw...

In January 2012, I went to Columbia and saw for myself where the money we raise would be going and the need that was there. The experience was moving...there is a great need for places that children can be taken in, protected, and cared for. Many children that are left to themselves on the streets are taken by drug lords, forced into prostitution or die from neglect. On my trip, I saw a young girl sit outside of the local orphanage listening to the music. Unfortunately limited space and resources limit the number of children that can be helped and not all children can be taken in.
