The BLWC Fund is working to improve the water quality and usage of Benton Lake (Cologne, MN) and to enhance this natural resource.

Started with a backyard discussion almost three years ago, Don Smith and Jacob Steinbauer have teamed up with the Carver County Land & Water Services, the City of Cologne, the Cologne Lions and regional environmental agencies to raise funds to assist with the clean up of Benton Lake in Cologne, MN. The overall goal is to make this natural resource a true community amenity for generations to come. To aid their effort and bring greater awareness, several Cologne residents have joined Smith and Steinbauer in creating the Benton Lake Watershed Conservancy (BLWC). The BLWC invites others to become members ($20 annual membership per household), or provide financial or in-kind resources in support of the BLWC and its mission.
