A project of SC CAMPAIGN TO PREVENT TEEN PREGNANCY
I'm raising money for the SC Campaign by growing a stache. Help me reach my goal; it's for a great cause!
17 teens (15-19) give birth in South Carolina every day, and the SC Campaign has found 17 men who are willing to do something about it.
My competitors and I have signed up for Mustache Madness, a friendly “Burt Reynolds” style competition that will raise funds for the South Carolina Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy from March 18 – April 8. I am beginning week 1 with a clean-shaven face and need your help to win BEST STACHE, which will be determined by the person who raises the most money! However, if I surpass my "hard to reach goal" and am tired of being compared to Tom Selleck, I will have the option to stop the competition and go back to my original facial hair style.
How will the SC Campaign determine the BEST STACHE? That’s where you come in – I need your vote/pledge. The person who raises the most money during the 3 weeks will be crowned the winner! So make your tax deductible donation today!
You can call me: THE WEATHERMAN
I am the WIS (NBC Columbia) morning/noon meteorologist, always on the go in the "great outdoors" and full-time daddy to "wild and crazy" Benjamin (9) and Kati (11) and husband to USC Journalism Prof. Andrea Tanner.
I'm growing a stache because
I want to not only meet, but EXCEED my lofty $5000 goal with the help of loyal WIS viewers and radio listeners.
