We will be going to Belize for one week to share the love of Christ and help out the community in whatever ways they need!
Dear Friends and Family,
Dillan (Freshman), Justin (Sophomore), and I (Senior) have all been blessed with the opportunity to travel to Belize for a Mission Trip with the Libertyville Evangelical Free Church’s high school group. This is the first and the last opportunity that the three of us will have to go and serve together, in Gateway.
All three of us are committed and excited to help in furthering the Kingdom of God. We will have the opportunity to help through construction, evangelizing on the streets, going into schools, working in the local orphanages, and more. This is a chance for us to spread God’s love across cultural barriers and socioeconomic lines.
We have been called to a life of service to the Lord. We strongly believe that in all we do, we shall work to honor God. This week of continual praise and service will be a chance to serve God with our hearts, our minds, all our strength, and our actions. This trip will not be easy, but it will be rewarding to the glory of God. We aim to come together as a group and bring God glory. Acts 20:35 states: “In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive’”. The three of us are being given a chance to give of ourselves to help those less fortunate.
Belize will be a chance of a lifetime and an opportunity that will definitely be a growing experience. We all hope to expand our understanding and continue to grow in our faith. This mission trip will be expensive as the cost will be tripled for us, but worth it. We ask you for your financial and your prayerful support!
Ephesians 6:7- “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord”
