BAC supports arts and artist in rural western Massachusetts by providing gallery exhibits, workshops, programs and performances.

Founded in 1968 as a way to bring the arts to our low-income, rural village, BAC is the founding partner for economic rejuvenation in historic North Becket. We foster the arts in our local school with a special arts program showing every students' creative work based on their own writing as part of the writing across the curriculum progam. Low-income families attend arts programming free of charge.

Gallery exhibits allow for rarely seen artists to present their work as well as special exhibits such as Historic Timber Frame models, History exhibits, juried Fiber and Art Quilts.

We are currently raising $15,000 toward a Mass. Cultural Council matching grant which supports the initial work toward creating a Cultural District in our town and establishing the HilltownsExperiencingART residency program which will support innovative public artwork in all fields by artists who will work with community groups throughout western Massachusetts, bridging the culturally rich areas of Northampton and Berkshire County.
