If you know me, then you know I have a heart for Eastern Africa. I've had the pleasure of working with Engineers Without Borders to invest time, money, and engineering savvy into the Mayanja-Kibuke region of Kenya.

It was amazing and inspiring to visit the people in this area back in February. They have such joy, hope, and hospitality. We had a great turnout from the water committees as they worked along side us for two weeks. All of the final work was completed by them. It is our hope to continuing education on the importance of clean water, while educating them on all the different ways they can harness and protect their natural resources.

Please support me, EWB, and this community of people in Kenya by donating financially to our effort. Prayers are also equally valuable: prayers that I don't get injured while running, prayers for our team to maximize our effectiveness in Kenya, prayers for us to not be ruled by pride, but that we learn from the Kenyans as well.

So...13.1 miles here I come! I hope I don't regret this at mile 12 :-)
