We are raising funds to help build a new habitat for our rescued baby black bears.

Barnaby and Bailey were most likely born at a zoo. Then they were bought by a company that took them around to do "educational" programs at schools. The folks taking care of them had good intentions, but the bears were not getting adequate food, exercise or health care. In fact, the USDA were raiding facilities all over Texas and Oklahoma looking for Barnaby and Bailey to confiscate them from this company. Finally, someone from the company made a good decision, stopped running with the bears, brought them to Sharkarosa and asked if we could help. We agreed and took the bears and informed the USDA the bears had been found. They were super relieved to hear we had them! When they arrived, both cubs had urine scald on their feet from standing in their own waste & Barnaby had a fever. Both recovered well and are growing like weeds now! They love to run, swim & climb trees. Now we need to raise funds to build them a large habitat here at the ranch.
