Bay Area Food Bank provides nutritious food to meet the challenge of those who are hungry as a result of personal crisis or disaster.
Bay Area Food Bank serves a 24-county area spanning 20,000 square miles in south Mississippi, south Alabama and the panhandle of Florida. In 2011, the food bank distributed more than 16 million pounds of food to more than 500 church pantries, soup kitchens and other nonprofit organizations. The food bank also provides food through multiple nutrition programs including child nutrition, disaster relief, mobile pantries, rural deliveries and SNAP outreach.
