A project of SAFE HAVEN RESCUE ZOO
Safe Haven has adopted three baby bobcats from Arizona and a former pet bobcat from Las Vegas and they need a new enclosure!
Three orphaned bobcats, a male and two females, were separated from their mother at a very young age. They were found by an individual who unfortunately, habituated them to humans before they were brought to Southwest Wildife Foundation. The bobcats are perfectly healthy but unfortunately they have been around humans too long to be safely released into the wild. Safe Haven will provide their "forever home". The bobcats, Petey, Gidget, and Mandy, can be sponsored for $50 each. A sponsorship all three is $150. Animal sponsorships are great gifts plus help provide support toward their expenses. In March 2013, we got a call for a pet bobcat that had been confiscated by animal control after escaping his yard. We agreed to take him so he wouldn't be euthanized. Already named Steel, the bobcat finally arrived after 24 hours in the car. We decided to put him in the other half of the enclosure Mandy, Petey, and Gidget are in. They can see each other and they have been having "playdates" in hopes that the four of them can live together someday. The four bobcats are housed in two temporary enclosures for now and this summer we will build them one large permanent enclosure complete with shade platform, cozy den, and plenty of toys! Your donation will help us give them a spacious habitat and a great future!
