Avalon Charter School -- St. Paul

“Without the peer mediation program, Avalon would be like the other schools where I have worked – several staff members would spend most, if not all, of their days sorting out interpersonal conflicts and meting out punishments. In addition, students would never have to accept responsibility for their behavior and its consequences,” wrote a teacher at Avalon School. “Fortunately, at Avalon, students must confront their own behavior and how it affects the community. They must make amends.”

Because Peace Maker Foundation operating expenses are paid for by separate donations, 100% of what you contribute will help Avalon’s work to create a positive learning environment. Our goal is to raise $1,000 for Avalon Charter School.
