I will be competing in the Kiawah Island Marathon on December 8 to raise funds to support education for young women in Malawi. In Malawi, less than 7% of women nationwide have a high school diploma, and less than 1% of girls will continue on to college. By comparison, 98% of AGE Africa's students finish their degrees, and 85% go on to higher education. Last year's Tri for Malawi Team raised $75,000 and supported the educations of 62 girls. This year the Marathon for Malawi and 2012 Tri for Malawi team's goal is $100,000 and 120 students!
