ArtRage Gallery 2012-2013 Exhibition Season
A project of THE CORA FOUNDATION INC
ArtRage Gallery engages the community in socially relevant art and creates space for participatory dialogue about art and culture.
ArtRage is a project of a local non-profit organization, the CORA Foundation, and is no ordinary art gallery. Founded by the family of Syracuse resident and social activist Norton Putter in 2008, the ArtRage mission is to exhibit progressive art that inspires resistance and promotes social awareness; supports social justice, challenges preconceptions and encourages cultural change. The ArtRage event programming is fully in keeping with their mission to "spread the word" about social issues through art. The goal is to provide the community with an experience that encourages the breakdown of boundaries so that people can see themselves in the work and then in one another. This, we believe, is the seed of a movement for cultural and social change.
