Artfully Unforgotten’s mission is to advocate and raise resources for underserved communities through the production of art.
Artfully Unforgotten (AU) uses the power of collaboration and artistic expression to strengthen and expand communities, build resources and increase awareness of important social and human rights issues.
AU is a collective of artists and advocates who share the goal of building community ties through collaborative art projects.
Please see our program fundraising page to learn about our new DIG IN ART: Outdoor Creativity Program.
Founded as a nonprofit by Heather Metcalfe in 2007, AU's original vision was to use the arts as a tool for expanding perspectives, as well as raising awareness and resources for underserved and under represented communities worldwide.
From Rwanda to Afghanistan and back to the United States, AU has successfully collaborated with various communities, institutions and other nonprofits, to build new relationships and facilitate shared experiences through the arts.
AU is thrilled to be continuing this vision through efforts with our local communities today in New York.
