SS2 - Art History

Ms. Pearlmutter, Bell’s art teacher extraordinaire, offers an art history class to the seventh and eighth grade students. In the seventh grade, the course begins with Neolithic art and ends with Post-Impressionism. The course continues in eighth grade with 20th Century art through contemporary art. Students find fine art paintings from different art movements and morph them together to tell a new story. Students meet weekly to research, discuss, and create artwork. This is an optional class taken before or after school.
