ASIAN REHABILITATION SERVICE INCORPORATED

Since 1972, the mission of ARS has remained the same “to provide vocational rehabilitation and other employment services by which individuals with disabilities can achieve their highest potential”. Our clients have moderate to severe developmental disabilities; are monolingual speaking and come from low-income families. The income they earn in our program contributes to the overall sustainability of their entire family. Approximately 75% of the individuals we serve are of Asian heritage (34% Korean, 24% Chinese, 12% Filipino and 5% Vietnamese). To ensure the program meets the needs of the Greater Los Angeles Community, ARS provides services in eight (8) languages (English, Spanish, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Tagalog, and French). While we understand that no one is immune from the impacts of this financial crisis, it is important to realize when the economy struggles, individuals representing the underserved and not-served communities struggle even more.
