Have you ever seen the movie or read the book "The Cross and the Switchblade?" What about "Run, Baby Run?" If so, then you are familiar with the beginnings and story of Teen Challenge. Global Teen Challenge is a faith based organization that works to rehabilitate individuals with life-controlling addictions.

In January 2011 I traveled with a group of volunteers (from National Community Church) to a Teen Challenge center in Jamaica. The week I spent there living, working and worshipping with the students was one of the most spiritual events of my life. I went with the hope of being able to help others and in the process had a wonderful, life-changing experience myself.

In January of 2012, I traveled to Argentina, again with a team from NCC. We assisted with construction of a chapel at a Teen Challenge center, as well as ministering to those at the center.

In February 2013 I am again returning to Jamaica to work with Teen Challenge. We will be working on maintenance of the men's facility as well as their new endeavor, a farm. This farm has already started to produce a profit for the center, helping to make this Teen Challenge center self-reliant.

In addition (as described in the video), Teen Challenge Jamaica is reopening a women's center. We will be working to not only make this 6 bed facility a reality, but also to help them start a microprise industry to help them support the center.

The needed amount to raise includes airfare, construction supplies and room and board for the week spent in Jamaica. Prayers and donations are greatly appreciated!
