Our team will support Teen Challenge Jamaica and minister to men and women who are overcoming life controlling addictions.

When you go to Ebenezers Coffeehouse, you might run into an energetic and easygoing man who is as well known at the coffeehouse as he is in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. You may see him helping out the baristas, engaging with regulatrs and greeting new customers. This same man was homeless for 6 years struggling with a drug and alcohol addiction. That same man had nothing - no home, no assets, no material when he started seeking the Lord again. That man was me.

It was in the fall of 2010 that I committed to go on the first aoneeight missions trip of the year set out for Jamaica. Although I was homeless and had no money, the Lord seized my heart and asked me to go on mission. Not only did I heed His call, I was able to raise more financial support than anyone on the 21-person team. While in Ocho Rios, I met guys in different seasons of rehabilitation; some at 1 week and others at 9 months. Alongside the team, I painted, served food to the homeless and experienced a spiritual awakening. After serving and ministering for 8 days to rehabilitated students enrolled in the Teen challenge program, I had to face the reality of returning to the U.S. without a place to call home. However, two days following my return, I was offered semi-permanent housing from a member of the National Community Church. God had responded to my obedience with a miracle!

Since this trip, I have continued my journey of growing closer to the Lord and now feel called to go into missions for a longer period. As I seek God's will for my participation in missions over the long-term, I am excited to co-lead a trip back to Teen Challenge in Jamaica.

The needed amount to raise includes airfare, supplies, room and board for the week spent in Jamaica. Prayers and donations are greatly appreciated! I'm believing that with your help I will be able to raise the funds to experience something truly amazing. Your donation is tax deductible and any money over my target will be used for additional projects at the Teen Challenge center. Thank You!
