Continuing my third year in learning more about Christian-Muslim Relations in the Middle East, this year, I'll be going to Iraqi Kurdistan.
Getting a chance to explore the Middle East the past few years has been an incredible experience. I have heard perspectives and stories from the people on the ground. They have been amazing. For most part, they just want to tell their stories and have it told here.
I have learned more about the current day conflicts whether through peace reconciliation between Israel and Palestine to seeing the effects of the Egyptian Revolution firsthand.
From March 15-23, I'll be traveling to Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan. This is the next stop in learning more about bridging Christian-Muslim relations.
In addition, we have been parterning up with the church and finding ways for long-term partnership to be established. Also, my spiritual journey has only increased and be able to share my story to a wider audience.
In this trip, we will be partnering up with a local church. In the continuation of peace reconciliation, we will jion our hosts in serving the local population affected from conflict from Iraqis that have been displaced from the fighting in Baghdad and refugees from the Syrian civil unrest.
Now I know safety is a big thing you might say. Where we are headed in Erbil is quite safe. In fact, National Geographic and the New York Times recently put Iraqi Kurdistan on their must-travel list.
This is the first time that I am asking your investment in my travel this year. Your investment will assist me in not only covering the cost, but also support for the organizations being supported on the ground in Erbil.
The Word reaches out to all parts of the world. It has been such an experience and I would love your support. Now, I give you the option of support. I know the economy is tough, but support from $10 to $100 would be great. Think of it, like hey Manny, I'll cover your dinner for one day, here's $20.
More importantly, I need your prayers. These trips have been incredibly spiritually challenging and I need some Aarons and Hers to help me out (Exodus 17). So prayer over the team, the people on ground, for continual peace reconciliation, for how He''ll work with us before, on the ground, and afterwards. So if you can circle that prayer for me, Great!
Thank you once again and I look forward to sharing these stories with you!
Peace and Blessings!
