A 40 Mile Bike Ride Through NYC to raise money for health services and education for New Yorkers
Earlier this year when Susan G. Komen foundation decided to terminate funding to Planned Parenthood for breast cancer screenings underscored for me the need for greater awareness of the role of Planned Parenthood in providing basic health care to thousands of women who do not have the same level of resources many of us have. So, on May 6th, I'm riding in the TD Five Boro Bike Tour as part of Team Planned Parenthood NYC, an official charity partner, to raise money for reproductive healthcare services and education for New Yorkers.
The Five Boro Bike Tour is the largest mass cycling event in the USA, and will have more than 32,000 cyclists this year. Last year, the tour raised $1.2 million for charities.
I hope you will sponsor me on this ride. Together, we can help the thousands of women, teens, and families who rely on PPNYC for essential healthcare and educational programs.
And, of course, I'll be eternally grateful for your support.
All the best,
