Annie's 2012 Boston Marathon Fundraising Page

Hey Everyone!

My name is Anne and I am a junior at Babson College. This upcoming Spring I will be running the 2012 Boston Marathon for the Bay State Games. The Bay State Games is a non-profit organization that has been in existence for 30 years. The mission of the organization is to promote health, physical fitness, education, sportsmanship, and personal development through athletic, educational, and health related programs. Over 50,000 Massachusetts participants take part in the various programs of the Bay State Games. There are nine programs in total which deal with significant issues including childhood obesity, funding afterschool athletic programs, and financial assitance for college. I have been an athlete all of my life and I strongly believe that it is vital to promote health and physical fitness in childhood and adolescence.

I actually ran the Boston Marathon for the first time last year and it was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had! I am so grateful to have this oppurtunity to run the marathon for such a meaningful charity again. I cannot wait! Thank you for showing interest in my charity event and being apart of my marathon experience!
