Mission Statement

Animal Allies Humane Society strives to ensure a lifetime of loving care for every pet by reducing overpopulation, increasing adoption, and fostering humane values.

Vision Statement

Animal Allies Humane Society is guided by a humane ethic to build communities that universally value animals, understands their needs, and take action to meet them.

Animal Allies will be a leader in northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin in working toward:

  • Elimination of pet overpopulation and the euthanasia of adoptable animals.
  • Providing quality temporary care to homeless animals then placing them in permanent loving homes.
  • Educating the community on humane treatment and responsible guardianship of companion animals.

Animal Allies will directly provide high quality animal sheltering services in southern St. Louis County. In other areas of northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin, Animal Allies will support the efforts of partner agencies to provide high quality animal sheltering services.

    My late winter Saturday was ruined when a lab-husky mix decide to follow us home as we skiied around Schultz Lake. My lab Francie and I liked our new friend. But, the dog had no collar or identification. I made numerous phone calls, did a Lake Association posting, and even wnet door to door in the area. NO LUCK. I brought the dog to Harbor City Kennels to check for a chip and there was none. Finally as the day darkened, I raced for the Rice Lake Road Animal Allies and arrived just before closing. The staff was wonderful and caring just before Saturday night closing. The next day the owner showed up at the facility and "Rover" made it home two miles from Schultz Lake.
