Amani Children’s Home, in Tanzania, East Africa, opened their doors to 6 homeless children in 2001 and has grown to currently support 300 children.

Amani provides a safe refuge, nutritious food, education, healthcare and caring adults on whom homeless children can always depend. Amani is dedicated to locating relatives for each child, reuniting them as a family whenever possible and to ensuring their success together. Amani is overseen by a qualified Board of Trustees devoted to fiscal responsibility. For the hundreds of homeless children being helped, Amani, which means peace in Swahili, is truly their haven of peace.
