Empowering South African youth
Amandla Development brings together community actors from across sectors to provide a strong network of support both in and out of school for their youth. We blur the artificial lines between sectors that create silos and leave gaps in the care that youth receive. Many of South Africa’s youth face enormous challenges to succeeding both from the substandard education they receive in schools to the broken communities in which they spend the majority of their days outside of school. Supporting their education also means making sure they get enough to eat, are supported at home, have access to adequate medical care, that they aren’t bullied at school, and that their creativity is nourished. No organisation can do this alone. Amandla helps coordinate and amplify the impacts of the many actors whose work provides the web of care needed. We simply can’t fix the education crisis without acknowledging the context of poverty.
Join us on Wednesday, October 10th at 6:30 pm to celebrate Amandla's progress and to learn how Amandla facilitates disparate actors coming together to collaborate and provide holistic solutions to South Africa’s education crisis.
