Alison is a dedicated and brilliant person, physician, and athlete. Please give to offset her medical expenses from her accident.

On October 16th, Alison was riding her bike on Cincinnati's East Side when she was struck by a car. Her critical accident necessitated a helicopter evacuation to UC main hospital. Her husband, resident Emergency Medicine physician, Tim Delgado, was on that flight. Unbeknownst to him, he faced the worst fear any physician or husband faces- seeing their loved one critically injured. Even worse, Tim had to change roles from doctor to husband advocate and wait while another helicopter came while Alison clung to life.

Initially not expected to survive, Alison endured multiple complex surgeries, including high-risk, life sustaining brain surgery, and months in intensive care. Yet with Tim and close family and friends at Alison's bedside, she showed amazing resiliance and recovered more quickly than anyone could have imagined. Everyday she literally rewrites the book on rehabilitation expectation with her breathtakingly rapid recovery.

Such an event has caused significant financial stress and your help for Alison is greatly appreciated.

Also, Alison is the 2005 women’s champion of the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon: http://www.flyingpigmarathon.com/news_flash/press_releases/pr050105.shtml

Along with her husband, Resident Physician Tim Delgado, she is an avid cyclist, racing in both road and cyclocross events. She also loves hiking and backpacking.

The outdoors aren’t her only passion- she is a Resident Pediatrician at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Alison is a very bright and outgoing person, so please help wipe away one more needless worry from Tim and Alison’s plate as they focus on Alison’s recovery.
