Alexandra House's mission is to empower victims of domestic and sexual violence, and inspire social change, through education, support and advocacy.

OUR VISION :

Alexandra House envisions a world where violence against women and children is unacceptable.

Alexandra House's staff and volunteers provide a continuum of services from emergency shelter to legal advocacy, long-term housing assistance, and youth prevention and intervention services that are designed to help victims regain hope for a better future and achieve a life free from violence and abuse. We are the only agency offering these services in Anoka County and together with our community partners, we work to transform the perception and acceptance of violence against women and children.

Unique in many ways, Alexandra House has extremely strong collaborations and partnerships with local schools, law enforcement agencies, hospitals, local government, and businesses. We work with our partners to reach victims in many ways, and provide wrap-around services with others. We do this because together, we are able to better address the many barriers victims of domestic and sexual violence face each day.
