The Alex Bush Memorial Scholarship Fund honors student Alex Bush who tragically died in a Dec. 2010 wreck.

Alex Bush, a second-year law student at the Charleston School of Law, and fiancee Katie Scott died tragically in December 2010 in a wreck alleged to have been caused by a drunk driver.

Alex's family created the scholarship fund to benefit Charleston School of Law students to keep Alex's dream of being an attorney alive.

"Alex was not only my brother, he was my best friend," said Eddie Bush, a musician/songwriter who has gained a strong following in the Lowcountry and beyond. "He was a truly selfless individual who was always eager to help his friends and family, no matter what time limitations he faced. He always found a way to be there.

"To honor the beautiful, giving soul that Alex was, we have created the Alex Bush Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Charleston School of Law with the hope that it will give other students financial support in their pursuit of the career in law that Alex was also working toward."
