ALABAMA ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

In 2010, AAICU distributed $118,146 raised through our annual scholarship campaign to assist deserving Alabama resident students attending our schools. Out of our 2010 distributions we serviced and reduced the debt of approximately 100 students in need. The biggest barrier for low-income students is the lack of dollars to fund their college education. Scholarship aid, combined with colleges that provide a quality education and a track record for on-time graduation provides students with all the resources they need to graduate and fill our states workforce needs. With help from our donors we can assist even more first generation, low-income, Alabama college students!
