In loving memory of Stewie

The Education Department’s favorite little colleague, Stewie, passed away this week. For several years, Stewie’s friendly face and calm demeanor helped us to educate countless kids at schools, community organizations, and summer camps. As a registered therapy animal, Stewie demonstrated the benefits of animal therapy and served as an example of the wide variety of animals that can provide that valuable service. Stewie was also one of the original “Snow Angel” animals whose image and story helped raise money to support AHS, and his squeaks and squeals brightened the day of many staff who regularly stopped by to visit. He will be sorely missed.
