Bread for the City’s Holiday Helpings Campaign provides complete holiday meals to thousands of low-income DC families.
Bread for the City needs your help to provide over 9,000 low-income DC residents with the ingredients to make a healthful and delicious holiday meal this season!
There’s nothing more emblematic of the holidays than sitting down to enjoy a large meal surrounded by those you love most. For most of us, it’s tradition. But to our poorest neighbors here in the District of Columbia, a holiday meal is a luxury they simply cannot afford. That’s where Bread for the City steps in to help. Through our annual Holiday Helpings campaign, we strive to ensure that the city’s poor can also share in the celebration of the holidays. It costs just $29 to provide a family of four with the ingredients to have a truly memorable holiday meal in the sanctity of their own home.
Last year ACS CAN contributed over $1500 and 20 boxes of canned and non-perishable goods. This year we want to do even more.
Please feel free to make a donation at this site or bring in one the suggested non-perishable items and drop it off at the ACS CAN Break Room.
Or if it is easier for you to bring in your cash or check donations, please see Lisa Johnson.
Thank you in advance for your generous donations.
