ACES (Athletes Committed to Educating Students)
Students who consistently attend ACES show academic growth, improved behavior and school attendance, and increased community identity.
ACES is an 18-years-strong after-school tutor/mentor program that helps urban fourth- through eighth-grade students in both Minneapolis Public Schools and St. Paul Public Schools overcome the academic achievement and opportunity gaps.
"ACES was important to me because I was able to be myself and talk with mentors who had my best interests in mind." Marvin was an ACES student from fourth through eighth grades at Lincoln Community School in north Minneapolis. This fall, he starts his second year at a university.
