I'm a newbie runner/4th grade teacher who believes in doing all I can to empower children and adolescents to be their best selves. The August 6, 2011 Beach To Beacon run will be my first ever 10k. I chose to run the race as a fundraiser for Day One, because I strongly believe in their mission of helping teenagers dealing with substance abuse issues through prevention, intervention, treatment and aftercare. Please consider donating to this very worthy cause!
