AANE 2010 Annual Appeal

Dear Friend,

Because of your support and generosity, AANE has grown tremendously over the past year, extending our programs and services to include:

• Increased programming across New England such as conferences in Vermont and Cape Cod.
• Seminars for parents on topics such as school advocacy, social skills, homework, and managing daily family life.
• Transition services to help parents and young adults plan for life after high school, including a Perspectives on College Life” panel presentation.
• Continuation of the Life Management Assistance Program (LifeMAP), a one-to-one coaching program for adults.
• A new online support group for parents of adults, as well as continuing our online support groups for parents of children and teens, currently serving over 1,500 families.
• Comprehensive programming for spouses, including support groups, workshops and an online group.
• Support to underserved communities in Boston, Lawrence and Springfield.
• Increased legislative advocacy including support for a Massachusetts bill to prevent bullying and teasing.
• Expanded education and awareness, including training for schools, police and judges.
