Tis' the season of trees! This Christmas, give a gift that gives back - plant a tree! Let's make this winter GREEN!
Rooted in Hope is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable development through advocacy, education, research and international environmental projects. Our organization is involved in researching new pathways for overcoming persistent environmental challenges. With the help of our international partners, we are planting seeds to create a greener future for all.
This Christmas season, we can all do our small part in helping to protect the vital ecosystems that sustain our planet, empower the underprivileged communities, and change the lives of people around the world. This year, we can all plant a tree and spread the seeds of hope.

A Letter From the Founder,
As I look back on the last year, I cannot help but be profoundly moved and be personally inspired by the friends that have been made, the work that has been done, the lives that have been touched, and the seeds we have sown together for a better tomorrow. The last 18 months have been incredible for ‘Rooted in Hope’ and all made possible by the tremendous support, encouragement, donations and volunteers who gave time, who helped with projects, and who travelled far to make a difference. Yours is the spirit, the commitment and the optimism that is contagious! Through each of you, we have touched and transformed lives, and in doing so, have transformed ourselves.
‘Rooted in Hope’ is not just about planting trees and protecting the environment. It is not just about giving money and making donations. It is not the hand out…but the helping hand. Ours is a mission designed to create a more sustainable future – socially, environmentally and economically for all. Since its inception, ‘Rooted in Hope’ has planted over 40,000 trees, and we’ve taught classes in environmental awareness and sustainability to close to 5,000 young students and professionals. We have put a great deal of effort into working with women’s groups and young students, teaching them to think differently about the challenges they face as they build the foundation for a better and more prosperous future. It is through our various programs that positive, pervasive change is now increasingly visible.
The launching of these noble projects has been a catalyst for positive change and we have been delighted to see the seeds of success shared with neighboring villages. It is invigorating and rewarding to see the fruits of our labor become a springboard for growth for so many. To return to these villages, that once had so little, with an outlook so grim, and be greeted by women now proudly sharing their homegrown vegetables, fresh goats milk, a bountiful meal, full of pride, full of dignity, full of song – was a wondrous celebration. I have never danced so much, sung so joyfully and smiled from the inside out.
