"A runner must run with dreams in her heart." - NYC Half Marathon 2013
A project of KNOCK FOUNDATION INC
New York City: A radical departure from life in slow-paced Tanzania, where roads are unpaved, consistent electricity is rare, and shops close at 6pm. I now live in the city that most definitely lives up to its reputation: restaurants are open 24 hours, it looks like daytime when the sky should be dark, and there is never a shortage of things to see or do.
I moved to NY in August to begin a Master's Degree program at Columbia University. It was difficult to say goodbye to Tanzania for a while but it was important for me to continue working towards my own personal goals. I am studying international development in my quest to continue working for people in developing countries.
And now I continue the streak of Knock directors challenging themselves physically...we've climbed mountains, swam in ocean races, hiked the Grand Canyon, and now this half marathon!
Please support me in furthering Knock's educational scholarship program, school meal program, and HIV/AIDS seminars in Tanzania!
