3rd Annual Visions Charity Fashion Show

On Sunday, October 10th from 2:30-4:30pm we will be hosting our 3rd Annual Visions Charity Fashion Show in San Diego, CA. The event will take place at the new Chillers Clothing Showroom (4667 Cass St., San Diego, CA, 92109) and will feature the creative work of several fashion designers, drinks & refreshments, live DJ, photo & display exhibits, opportunity drawing, vendor sales, performances, and more. Every year the event is organized and implemented by a team of volunteer young professionals and students, sending a strong message to the youth in Sri Lanka & India with whom Visions works that the youth here are concerned with and committed to their well being.

This year we are hoping to raise funds to support severely impoverished and war-displaced youth in Kilinochchi, Northern Sri Lanka who lack even basic educational supplies and opportunities. Throughout their young lives, these children have endured great personal loss and physical, mental, & emotional trauma following years of conflict and extreme poverty. These youth, many of whom have been orphaned and are being cared for by extended family members, are in need of uniforms, exercise books, shoes, school supplies, and other educational support. Visions is committed to sponsoring 70 of these very needy youth with the funds raised from this event.
