Help support worldwide justice as I run 26.2 miles on October 30th!
International Justice Mission is a D.C. based human rights non-profit that combats worldwide slavery, sexual exploitation and violent oppression. IJM is not only fighting for justice of the forgotten in many foreign countries, but also here in the United States. Sadly this is the reality of virtually every large city in America. Sara and I have enjoyed volunteering with them for the past several months. We have a heart for their organization and strongly believe in what they are doing.
As I've been training for the Marine Corps Marathon, I've realized I should run for more than just myself. Please help support IJM by donating $1 dollar for every mile I run, $26.20... But any amount is great. Below is a link to their website if you would like to know more about what they are doing and what IJM may be doing in your area.
I am also running for my grandfather, Papo, who is no longer with us. Papo was, and will always be, a Marine. He was a wonderful husband, father of three, and grandfather of many more! My grandfather was a school teacher and later a principal. He went skydiving for his 80th birthday! He certainly lived life to the fullest. Papo, thanks for the legacy you have left behind. Oorah!
**Wow, you all are amazing. Thank you for your generosity. We reached our goal of $700 in under one week. If you haven't donated and are still inclined to do so, it would be greatly appreciated. Regardless of my initial goal, IJM still needs your support..., so lets raise the bar!**
Thank you all for your support.
