Habitat for Humanity Chicago South Suburban (HFCSS) Affiliate is pleased to announce the launch of our 2013 WOMEN BUILD. We invite you to be a part of the exciting year we have ahead of us as 2013 is also our affiliate’s twenty-fifth anniversary. Our affiliate has committed to raising $25,000 in WOMEN BUILD co-sponsorships towards our project.
The WOMEN BUILD program of Habitat for Humanity are empowering women to put their faith and hard work into action by participating in accelerated rehab in the south suburbs. Women from all walks of life and of all skill levels will pick up hammers and power tools to help a local family in need.
Our official 2013 WOMEN BUILD kick-off event will be November 3, 2012 from 10am to noon at Bloom Township Center. The actual rehab will last from March through May after a series of available training workshops provided through our Lowe’s partner. The training workshops will be available in the month of February.
Volunteers, sponsors and donations are needed. Volunteers can be individual women or teams. We invite civic groups and organization, company teams, groups of friends or family members to participate. There are a variety of sponsorship options associated with the WOMEN BUILD which determines the number of women allowed on the site per day and how many days. Please refer to the Sponsorship Level document for more information.
