LEU Mission

• Raise money and awareness for C.O.P.S. (Concerns Of Police Survivors) which provides support to the surviving family members of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty; and,
• Raise monetary support for ODMP (Officer Down Memorial Page) and their effort to provide a lasting tribute to each of the fallen officers; and
• Honor the service and sacrifice of America’s Law Enforcement Officers. The Law Enforcement United mission is accomplished through an annual bicycle ride, “The Road to Hope”.

On April 30, I will join other survivors and law enforcement officers on a 12 day bicycle journey which will cover 1000 miles to raise awareness and provide support to the surviving family members of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.

About me

My name is Crystal Peterson and on May 06, 2005 my Uncle /Godfather Sergeant Jerry Vick was killed while working in Saint Paul. His death has forever changed the lives of not only our family, but those he helped throughout his career. In 2006, I went to DC and saw the Law Enforcement Officers Wall with my uncle’s name carved in it. I also found out about a group of police officers and survivors who raise money to not only preserve the memory of officers like my uncle, but how it also helps their surviving families, especially these brave officers’ children. I decided that one day I would complete this ride. In 2011, I was able to complete 250 miles but in 2013 my goal is to ride 1000 miles in 10 days starting in Georgia and ending in Washington DC.

Please help me to reach my goal of raising $2,000.00 for these wonderful organizations.
