I'm BAAACCCK! Surely the 2013 Boston Marathon cannot be as hot as 2012, right?!?
Runners remember all their marathons...especially when there are adverse weather conditions like the ones we had in 2012!
I have a love/hate relationship with my 2012 Boston Marathon experience. I HATED it because it was miserably hot, even for me, the perpetually cold girl, and because of that, it was my worst marathon time ever. I LOVED it because of what the Boston Marathon is...the experience I had while running - all the great supporters (friends even rode their bikes following us around giving us cookies and M&M's!), an amazing running partner - and most importantly, the money I raised for a great cause!
The 2013 Boston Marathon will be lucky number 7 for me and sure to be the best one yet!
I am running the 2013 Boston Marathon in support of the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center. My goal is to raise $5,000 which will help support their various programs, such as overnights, weekends, after school, adult day and camps. These programs not only support individuals with disabilities, but their families as well!
I run with friends. I run for the memories. I run for the stories. I run for the laughs. I run for those that can't.
Please support me in my trek from Hopkinton to Boston and make a donation, in any amount, to support the Michael Carter Lisnow Respite Center.
100% of the money raised goes to scholarships supporting families who are unable to cover the costs associated with assisted care!
