2010 Let’s Kick Hunger Day
A project of Taste of the NFL
Cargill, General Mills and Land O' Lakes have teamed up with Taste of the NFL and Radio 830 WCCO for a radiothon on January 8 to kick hunger
A record one in seven Americans is struggling to put enough food on the table, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. To combat these growing statistics, the first-ever Let's Kick Hunger Day radiothon will take place on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010 at Mall of America.
The 13-hour radiothon (877-886-HERO) will benefit Taste of the NFL and Second Harvest Heartland and is presented by hometown food giants Cargill , General Mills and Land O' Lakes . The event is also brought to you by News Radio 830 WCCO , Cub Food , By the Yard , Vanguard Travel and Mall of America . Second Harvest Heartland will receive 50 percent of the net proceeds. The remaining 50 percent will be donated to Taste of the NFL-associated food banks in the 31 NFL markets.
Special Guests and Volunteers Support the Cause
