Every donation counts – please consider making a tax-deductible donation support our annual year-end campaign.
From the desk of Pastor Wayne Harrison, Executive Director:
I am writing to ask for your support for the very important ministry that takes place through your camps at Crossways. We are coming to that time of year when we give thanks to God for his many blessings. We need to do so with grateful hearts for all that God has given us—even when we think it may not be as much as we used to have or seems less compared to the needs around us. “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good (God is Good All the Time!), and his love endures forever. Psalm 107:1
As I pause to give thanks this year, I give thanks for the opportunity to serve as the Executive Director of this ministry for the past 11 years. I think back on the many conversations I have been privileged to be a part of when the caller shares how his or her life has been impacted by camp. Sometimes it was a camp experience years ago. Other times it was the impact a week at camp had on a son, daughter, or grandchild just last week. There have also been stories directly from young people. What we do makes a difference in so many lives.
During this year of ministry lives were changed; many were challenged to take faith more seriously; seeds of faith were planted, nurtured, and evidence of what that might lead to started to be seen. It is important ministry. But, we cannot do this ministry without YOUR support. Your gifts of support enable such ministry to happen.
Won’t you make a difference in the lives of others today? Your gift of $50, $100, $250 or more could make the difference in how a person deals with personal challenges to their life or faith. As I write this, I just received word that yesterday, as a family surrounded a loved one’s death bed the granddaughters chose as the last song a camp song they had learned with their grandfather at GrandparentsKids Camp. At camp, together, they made a lifetime of wonderful memories.
Thank you for your support, your prayers, your service, your participation in this ministry at what I call “three of the most wonderful places in the part of God’s beautiful creation we call Wisconsin.” I will continue to remember, and give thanks for you all in my prayers.
Yours in Christ’s Name,
Pastor Wayne Harrison
