Support Habitat's mission of affordable, safe housing, home repair & weatherization! Homeowners invest 250 hours plus of sweat equity !
Dear family and friends,
It's time already for the Bath Habitat for Humanity Spring Fundraiser, the 2nd Annual 5K Race and Walk on April 22nd (also Earth Day!) Again, we are joining with fellow members of the Wiscasset Congregational Church, a Habitat covenant church, to raise as much as we can with our walk.
As I have done in the past year, I do this walk in honor and memory of my mom, Christine Stiassni Gerli. In this photo taken at age 80, she was shellacking a door at a Habitat project in Hungary. Her "can do" attitude", cheerfulness and classic perseverance echoes the Habitat approach.
Habitat for Humanity is a "household word" for many. Why? Habitat has a clear vision of providing home ownership and better homes to as many diverse people as possible. Just as my mom made all of us do chores and pull our weight, Habitat requires sweat equity for every future homeowner.
Habitat pursues -all over the world- the vision of equality in housing with hope, creativity and determination and an amazing pool of thousands of volunteers. Along with the hard work accomplishing their goals, Habitat's endeavors are blessed with grace and faith.
This is the Bath Habitat for Humanity's 19th year building with families in need. For more information about it, go to
Please give any amount you can to support families being able to live in clean safe homes they themselves help build. To sponsor Chris or myself, you can give online (see to the right) or write a check (made to "Bath Habitat for Humanity 7 Rivers" with a memo "Wiscasset UCC team") and mail it to

Many thanks for reading this, passing on the good word and for your support !!! yours, Margot Stiassni & Chris Sieracki
