100 Book Day
A project of READING VILLAGE

Donations will buy storybooks for Guatemalan children, offering the opportunity to transform their lives through literacy.
The idea for 100 Book Day came about last year when my son Finn, who had been interested in big numbers recently, asked me if it was possible to read one hundred books in one day. And because I am inspired by the work of Reading Village to bring literacy to children in Guatemala, we decided to try to read one hundred books in one day and in doing so raise funds and awareness for Reading Village.
On November 28th of 2009, Finn and I successfully read 100 BOOKS and raised just shy of $1,000 for READING VILLAGE. The experience was so fantastic, that we are doing it again this year...and this time we're inviting you to join in as Reading Pairs!
Adults reading to children is exactly the kind of intergenerational cycle Reading Village is trying to repair in Guatemala. So pair up with your own child, grandchild, neighbor, or student and join in the fun.
This year's 100 Book Day will take place on November 27th, 2010. Join in by supporting the readers with a donation, by participating as a Reading Pair, and by learning about Reading Village!
You can make donations on this page or write checks to Reading Village, 3210 15th St, Boulder, CO 80304.
Thank you for your support,
