10 years?! 10 years! Yes, Working Title Playwrights is about to complete its 10th year of existence. In celebration of this grand occasion, we're trying to raise $10,000 by January 31, 2013. We go into this ambitious endeavor having done our research. Consider the significance of the number 10:

“A change in fortune for the better, either monetarily or otherwise.”

“A new step forward on the path of tomorrow.”

“Your destiny.”

“Luck.”

“Being in the right place at the right time to grasp opportunities.”

So here we are before you now, because who are we to not heed the wisdom of 10? Would you consider helping us reach our goal?

WTP continues to be the place in Georgia where new plays happen, and the 60-plus playwrights on our roster continue to get produced here and all over the United States.

Our playwrights range in age from 17–90, but this represents just one element of our diversity. WTP voices also vary greatly. At any particular event it is possible to see Hamlet reincarnated as Batman; or to rethink ethnic and racial stereotypes when two strangers meet at a bus station; or draw comfort when a death of a younger sibling allows two sisters to explore new emotional depths.

At a time when many cultural arts organizations are struggling to survive, WTP has been able to fortify our programming, expand our rosters of playwrights, and reach a more far-ranging audience while staying within a workable budget.

To continue this growth, we will depend on the kindness and belief of our dearest supporters. Can we count on you to make sure our next 10 years are even more productive than our first 10 years?
