As the HR/Operations Manager, Shai is the go to person if you need money, food, a key to any lock in the office, or just an ego boost. Shai works with speed (which she attributes to growing up in a city where everyone walks up the escalator) and she gets serious about keeping the office organized with her one-touch stapler. Outside of Razoo, Shai takes care of her little boy, Nicholas and dreams about travel; the Maldives and Ibiza are definitely on her list. She loves dogs but until all stars align, she will continue to be dog-less. Shai also enjoys experimenting on her keyboard and bass guitar and dreams of being in a rock band.

Bryce Melvin

Senior Accountant

I want to make a difference by helping people manage their money wisely, freeing them to be generous to those in need.
bio

One of Bryce’s earliest childhood memories is “playing bank” with his grandparents' safe and manual adding machine. Thanks to his entrepreneurial parents, he started a computer repair and tutoring business at the age of 12. At the age of 16, Bryce started Proforma Expressed Image, a printing company, and later sold the company to enroll at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. While at FSU he studied Entrepreneurship and Finance and put his entrepreneurial drive to work at Aegis Business Technologies through innovating internal processes and procedures. As the Senior Accountant at Razoo, Bryce is responsible for making sure employees, vendors, and non-profits are paid in a timely and efficient manner. Bryce has volunteered with several non-profits and has a passion for helping both companies and individuals succeed at managing their money.

Andrey Mikhalchuk

Senior Software Engineer

I want to make a difference by leveraging every opportunity for good.
bio

Just like most people at Razoo, Andrey belongs to many worlds. He was born in Russia, spent a large portion of his life in Ukraine, immigrated to Australia and finally landed in the DC area. His journey to the IT world started with a couple of programs for a calculator his father gave him when he was 7. Andrey spent the next 25 years perfecting his IT skills, along the way picking up a summa cum laude masters in computer science and applied mathematics at Moscow State University. Andrey can design and build complex information systems, web applications, operating systems, robots, and well, anything with (or without) a power button. For Andrey, IT is not just a profession, but a hobby as well.

At Razoo, Andrey is the resident technical magician. Throw a complex technology problem at him, and he will architect and build an elegant, innovative solution. He also pushes Razoo on standards compliance, security, and smart software design.

Ifdy Perez

Community Manager

I want to make a difference by helping to create a place where our future heroes can find support, and ideas spread like wildfire.
bio

Ifdy joined the Razoo team in July 2011 after working five years in communications and program management at a foundation dedicated to improving the lives of 24 million Americans with lung disease (COPD Foundation). A Washington D.C. native, Ifdy attended the University of Miami, where she graduated with a degree in Political Science and English. In Miami she caught the philanthropy bug and hasn’t been able to fight it; she regularly volunteered as a summer camp counselor for high school girls, worked with individuals affected by COPD, and once a month, helps at her local church’s food pantry. When she’s not having active conversations with the community on Twitter, Facebook or the blog, she’s hitting the ski slopes at Wisp Mountain, writing short stories, or figuring out how to cook.

Rajkumar Sithavan

Quality Assurance Manager

I want to make a difference by allowing people to realize the joy in giving and helping others to the best possible extent without any expectations.
bio

Growing up in India, Raj was always fascinated by technology and social media. He got his bachelor’s of engineering in Electrical Engineering at Anna University in India, then served as Software Developer for Cognizant Technology Solutions. Always desiring to grow and learn, Raj then pursued a master’s of science in Technology Management at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

He found his way to Razoo by pointing out bugs on the site and emphasizing the need for excellence in software quality. He is now building and overseeing the entire Quality Assurance (QA) operations for Razoo. Over the course of two short months, Raj built an automated browser-based integration testing suite, hand-selected an offshore QA firm, on-boarded a team of 6 testers. With Raj’s help, Razoo’s test coverage has greatly improved, and Razoo’s brilliant software engineers are now freed up to innovate, as they have to write fewer tests on their own.

Raj also has his brain around our whole application, and coordinates efforts between engineering, QA, and customer support. Raj delights in helping to build high-quality software that is truly pleasing to donors, nonprofits, and partners. Apart from working hard, Raj is fond of travel, photography, and ping-pong.
