Adventures in Missions (Gainesville, GA)

Adventures In Missions is a unique organization in that we measure the fruit of what we do by how much the lives of our participants are changed. Not only is a mission trip an opportunity for a group to build a house or provide food for the hungry; it's also a chance for their worldview to dramatically shift. With this strong focus on life formation, AIM is set apart from other Christian mission groups.

Akilah Institute for Women (Tampa, FL)

The Akilah Institute for Women empowers young women to transform their lives by equipping them with skills, knowledge, and confidence to be leaders and entrepreneurs in East Africa. Our inaugural class of students consists of 50 passionate, motivated women who are eager to earn a two year diploma in leadership and hospitality studies, and ultimately find meaningful employment in the fastest growing sector of the Rwandan economy.

Animal Protection and Welfare Society (Baton Rouge, LA)

APAWS is a small group of volunteers dedicated to making the lives better for the animals of Baton Rouge, LA. Our group believes every animal deserves a chance! We do not euthanize because the treatment is too expensive or because the animal isn't adoptable.

Big Cat Rescue (Tampa, FL)

Big Cat Rescue, a non profit educational sanctuary, is devoted to rescuing and providing a permanent home for exotic (i.e. wild, not domestic) cats who have been abused, abandoned, bred to be pets, retired from performing acts, or saved from being slaughtered for fur coats, and to educating the public about these animals and the issues facing them in captivity and in the wild.

Children of Uganda (Charles Town, WV)

The mission of Children of Uganda is to support and empower hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda to lead successful and productive lives. Our vision is that all children in Uganda receive an education to become healthy, productive members of their community who assume leadership roles and positively impact Ugandan society.

Coastal Community Foundation (Charleston, SC)

Each year Coastal Community Foundation receives more requests through the Open Grants Competitive Program than there are funds available and therefore cannot support many worthy nonprofit organizations. Increasing contributions to this fund will encourage businesses, civic organizations, and wealthy individuals who have not worked with us before to get involved.

Familylink is committed to responding to the prayers of the waiting children as reflected in the words of this child: “Sometimes I go to sleep praying to God for a family who wants me. And I wake up and I still don’t have a family.”

Legal Advocates for Abused Women (St. Louis, MO)

Legal Advocates for Abused Women (LAAW) is dedicated to helping victims of abuse in times of crisis, working within the legal system, law enforcement and criminal & civil court systems to break the cycle of violence at the earliest possible stage. LAAW is a local domestic violence organization in the greater St. Louis area that provides crisis intervention & support, legal information & advocacy, safety planning, and legal & social service referrals for victims of abuse.

Lift Disability Network (Orlando, FL)

Lift Disability Network is the place where the disability community comes together… an intersection where faith and society converge… where families gather… organizations team up… leaders are developed… and Life is elevated.

Machik (Washington, DC)

Machik is a nonprofit organization working to develop new opportunities for education, capacity-building and innovation on the Tibetan Plateau. Founded on a core commitment to the ideals of service and engagement, we support initiatives that advance innovative and solutions-oriented approaches to the challenges of community revitalization and sustainability.

Phoenix of New Orleans (New Orleans, LA)

The Phoenix of New Orleans uses the dedicated efforts of volunteers from across the globe to rebuild the homes of those who lost everything to the devastating effects of Hurricane Katrina. Through our efforts we are not only renovating homes, but rebuilding lives and restoring communities.

Rikki's Refuge (Orange, VA)

Rikki's believes that all life is sacred, and no animal should be killed because they are old, lame or have medical conditions. All animals currently housed at the refuge are "special needs".

Samaritan Center for Counseling and Pastoral Care (Austin, TX)

The Samaritan Center's platform (RecognizeGood) is endorsed by Austin Mayor Lee Leffingwell as “the kind of innovative thinking that will have a lasting impact on the quality of life in our community.” RecognizeGood.org integrates technology and philanthropy to create a public forum to recognize acts of kindness and to serve as a sustainable source of income.

School Without Walls Home and School Association (Washington, DC)

We are the home and school association for School Without Walls High School, a small, rigorous college prep public high school in the District of Columbia. The HSA's activities this year are to help the school expand its arts, music and sports programs.

Tiger Haven (Kingston, TN)

Tiger Haven is a safe home for 280 lions, tigers, leopards, cougars, and jaguar. We are the only facility to give the cats a permanent home with complete sanctuary.
