SOFTWARE ENGINEER

The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing a fast, social and robust online giving platform. Your job will be instrumental in helping nonprofits raise money and in assisting existing and potential donors to make a difference through giving.
You will be successful at Razoo by:
- Designing and writing high performance, elegant, and reliable code for both the frontend/UI and back-end of our web platform
- Problem solving and having the intellectual curiosity to find technical solutions that are the quickest and easiest to build, yet also the most robust
- Keeping up-to-date on the latest web tools and apps, and integrating with their APIs
- Working collaboratively with a team of developers, business personnel, and creative designers
- Working cross-functionally in software development (i.e. full Rails stack), but bringing particular strength in complex backend systems
- Taking the initiative to improve development, testing, measurement and deployment processes
- Possessing the drive to consistently deliver results, being disciplined to work on your own with light supervision
Required skills:
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to architect and build complex applications
- 8+ years web software development experience
- 5+ years MVC web framework experience
- Solid background in dynamic object oriented languages (Ruby, Python, etc)
- OO Design, MVC architecture, unit/acceptance testing, and refactoring
- Agile development processes and good track record of teamwork
- Subversion and/or other version control systems
- 2+ years real-world web and database scalability and optimization experience
- SQL database design and administration
- Solid experience with Unix and network administration
- Solid understanding of web and network security concerns
- Solid understanding of complex algorithms
Desired skills:
- 1+ years Ruby on Rails experience
- Web application caching and load balancing techniques
- MySQL database replication expertise

COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Razoo is looking for an energetic and experienced Communications Manager to join our team. Razoo is a web company with a mission to revolutionize the philanthropic market by inspiring donors to give more to charities, and by making it more efficient and effective for charities to connect with donors.
You will be successful at Razoo by:
- Writing monthly emails to nonprofits and individual members of Razoo.com
- Give concise messaging with clear calls to action
- Create a “voice” for Razoo.com
- Increase click-through rates for email blasts
- Writing and distributing press releases

- Highlight important case studies

Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 3-5 years work experience in a Media, Public Relations or Marketing firm, and/or in a Communications or Fundraising role within a company or nonprofit organization
- Demonstrated track record of success building an online following through blogs or social media
- Ability to write interesting and effective web copy, marketing collateral, and external communications for a variety of audiences
- Knowledge of the latest social media tools, trends, and best practices
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations and foundations is a plus

VP Marketing

VP will be accountable for achieving specific objectives for consumer and nonprofit adoption, and will work in collaboration with Sales/Business Development to drive enterprise/license sales to corporations and foundations. - Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan to bring donors and nonprofits to the Razoo platform; develop, own, execute, and be accountable for achieving specific acquisition and activation objectives for non-profit and donor adoption, and work in collaboration with Sales/Business Development to drive enterprise/license sales to corporations and foundations.
- Develop brand strategy and position Razoo as a premier consumer brand
- Establish metrics to track the effectiveness of marketing programs and craft the messaging, positioning, staging, and rollout of the company’s product in the market.
- Build strategic partnerships with corporations, media companies and nonprofits and manage large-scale campaigns.
